This article is a story of a reunion with a field that transcends words. It’s about why I, who had absolutely no interest in the Zero-Point Field (ZPF), found myself “connected” to it through my experiences with science, philosophy, and hitting my personal limits.
If you’re skeptical about the Zero-Point Field, I completely get it. I was just like you.

I Once Said, “ZPF? What’s That?” Why Am I Talking About It Now?
To be honest, I initially had zero interest in the term “Zero-Point Field.” I thought it was just another concept that was popular in some spiritual circles, and I wanted to be the kind of person who “doesn’t get into that stuff.”
But now, here I am, trying to put the concept of ZPF into my own words and even creating a blog about it. In fact, I now see my reality through a ZPF lens. Wait a minute… Isn’t that wild? When did I become “connected” to the ZPF?
My Lack of Interest Meant I Didn’t Use a Conceptual Filter
Looking back, the fact that I had no strong “interest” in ZPF might have been a good thing. When we’re strongly drawn to something, we usually attach our own concepts of “meaning” and “expectation” to it. But with ZPF, I approached it without trying to assign meaning. This may be why I was able to “connect with its vibration” without a strange filter.
Before I knew it, I realized, “Oh, so this is what they call the ZPF.”
A “Science Nerd” Who Secretly Had Strange Experiences as a Kid
On the surface, I appeared to be someone who valued “scientific language” and “rationality.” But the truth is, I had many strange experiences as a child. I felt like time was stopping, my body was floating in space, and I saw weird geometric patterns. I once even saw mysterious 2D black-and-white foreigners in the living room (lol). And I could feel other people’s emotions as waves, not as words.
But I had no words to describe any of it. So I might have been using the language of “science” to play the part of a person who “could explain things.”
Was My Fascination with Philosophical Words a Hint of the ZPF?
In college, there were certain philosophical words that I was strangely drawn to, like Schopenhauer’s “Will,” Kant’s “Thing-in-itself,” and Plato’s “World of Forms.” I didn’t know why, but I was attracted to words that pointed to “something behind this world.”
Then one day, a friend of mine suddenly said, “I think you’ll like this,” and handed me a book by Hiroshi Tasaka titled, “Death Does Not Exist.” In that book, the term “Zero-Point Field” came up. Honestly, it didn’t really click for me at the time, but for some reason, my heart reacted with a sense of “nostalgia.”
When “Doing” Reached Its Limit, “Being” Remained
I had a time when my business was struggling, my finances were on the verge of collapse, and nothing I tried seemed to work. I felt like I had to “do something.” I was “doing,” but there were no results. I was lost and didn’t know what to do anymore. All the options for “doing” crumbled away, and I found myself in a state where there was nothing left but to “simply be.”
That’s when I thought, “Wait a minute… Is this… that ZPF thing?”
Maybe I Found It Because I Wasn’t Looking for It
For me, the ZPF wasn’t something I “searched for and found.” Instead, it was something that suddenly appeared when I “wasn’t looking for it.” I think because I wasn’t on guard and wasn’t judging it with my concepts, the ZPF was quietly, yet surely, “there.” And it remains so to this day.
So, to anyone trying to “understand” the ZPF: if you can’t quite grasp it, it’s okay. You’re already connected to it.
🌀 A ZPF-like Afterword
Back then, I didn’t even know the word ZPF. But “science,” “philosophy,” “limits,” and “nostalgia”—all of it might have been a call from the “field” of the ZPF.
