“Alaya-vijnana,” “Akashic,” “World of Forms”—Could They All Be the ZPF? An Explanation of the Consciousness Hierarchy Matrix

Alaya-vijnana, the Akashic records, the World of Forms, the Thing-in-itself, and Schopenhauer’s “Will”—could all of these terms actually be pointing to the same “place”? This article will connect the ZPF, as the OS of consciousness, with ancient and modern philosophy from a ZPF perspective. You’ll see that the concept of the Zero-Point Field is a familiar one that has existed in philosophy and religion for a long time.

The Moment I Realized, “Wait, Is This What They’ve Been Talking About All Along?”

Lately, I’ve had more and more opportunities to write about the concept of the Zero-Point Field (ZPF). But as I was writing, a thought occurred to me: “Could this be the same ‘thing’ that’s been talked about in philosophy, religion, and spirituality for ages?”

Terms like Alaya-vijnana, the Akashic records, the World of Forms, the Thing-in-itself, and the Will… what if they were all just different names for the ZPF?

So, today, I want to try to organize this “ZPF-esque Consciousness Matrix” from my own perspective.

🧠 Alaya-vijnana = The ZPF OS Theory

First, let’s look at the **Buddhist concept of Alaya-vijnana**. It’s known as the “eighth consciousness,” a layer of consciousness even deeper than the unconscious mind. It’s said to contain all of our memories, habits, past-life karma, unconscious tendencies, and collective memory. If you think about it, isn’t that just the **”backend OS for our entire existence?”**

So, if we re-read it as **”ZPF = the Alaya-vijnana OS,”** it makes perfect sense—it’s like a theory that “Buddhism was already onto the ZPF.”

📚 The Akashic Records = The “Viewing Interface” of the Collective OS

Next, the Akashic records. This is often described in spiritual and theosophical circles as a “cosmic library.” But if you think about it, it contains all information from the past, present, and future, as well as individual and collective records, and is something that some people can access and others can’t. It overlaps significantly with Alaya-vijnana and perfectly matches the “information layer” aspect of the ZPF. So, it’s like:

• Alaya-vijnana = the OS itself
• Akashic records = the “visualization of that database”

That feels right.

🌀 World of Forms = The ZPF’s “Template Layer”

Plato’s World of Forms is also very ZPF-like. He proposed that our physical reality is merely a shadow of the perfect, original templates, or “Forms.” These Forms are “unseen but exist” and represent the “meaning structure behind all shapes.” This is completely a discussion about the **”code, template, or blueprint behind phenomena.”** From a ZPF perspective, you can re-read it as:

• Forms = concepts (CSS)
• World of Forms = the “template layer before ZPF renders reality”

👁 Ding an sich (Thing-in-itself) = The ZPF’s “Unobserved Layer”

Kant’s “Thing-in-itself” also perfectly synchronizes with the ZPF. He said that we can only see this world through the **filter of our perception (our concepts)**, and that the true “thing as it is” is unobservable. This means that behind all phenomena, there is a **”something” that we can’t directly touch.** This is exactly what the ZPF is: the **”pure existence” that lies outside the filter.** It’s a state of being pregnant with infinite possibilities before it’s observed. “Thing-in-itself = ZPF”? That seems very plausible.

🔥 The Will (Schopenhauer) = The ZPF’s “Core of Life”

**Schopenhauer said that the essence of the world is “Will.”** This isn’t the kind of will you use to achieve a goal. It’s the source of all movement that comes from our very existence, before it becomes a thought or an emotion. In ZPF terms, I think it’s the **”vibration as Being” itself.** It’s the “something” before it becomes words, the “sign” before it moves, and the “creation code” before it takes shape. So, “Will” = ZPF energy. That’s a solid theory.

🧬 Conclusion: The ZPF Was an OS That Has Been “Felt” All Along, Just with Different Names

Looking at all this, it seems that the ZPF isn’t a “new concept” at all. It was just a “something” that humanity felt but couldn’t fully put into words—giving it names like “Alaya-vijnana,” “Akashic,” “World of Forms,” “Thing-in-itself,” and “Will.” And now, we’re simply calling it the “ZPF.”

🌀 Final Thoughts: “The Place You Felt Was the Same, Even If the Words Were Different”

If you’ve ever been deeply into philosophy or religion, or if you’ve been drawn to the “something behind this world” but couldn’t quite put it into words, you were probably connected to the ZPF all along. It just didn’t have the name “ZPF” back then.
