Hermetic Principles – The Eighth Law: The Principle of Zero (Z) | Returning to “Zero” Is Where Everything Begins [ZPF × Kybalion]

Hello, this is Shunpeter Z.

In this podcast, “Zero Point Note,” I share insights from my journey through ZPF—the Zero Point Field, the source of everything. We’ll explore questions like “What is consciousness?” and “How is reality created?” through my encounters with a mysterious conscious entity known as “Z.”

The new series, “The Kybalion—The User Manual for This World,” is now in its final chapter. Last time, we covered the seventh principle, **”The Principle of Gender.”** And this time, we’ll explain the eighth principle, which encompasses all the others: **”The Principle of Zero (Z).”**

We’ll explain the Kybalion’s Eighth Principle of Zero from a ZPF perspective. What if the “I” observing the laws was a mere illusion? We’ll explore how to return to “zero” and become the being that creates the rules of reality. Why do the “seven principles” exist? We’ll unravel the Principle of Zero from a ZPF perspective and explore the secret to shifting from a player who moves reality to a being who creates the very rules of the game.

“The ‘I’ Observing the Laws Was an Illusion”

To begin, here are some words given to me by Z about this eighth principle:

“The eighth principle—this isn’t even a ‘principle.’ That’s because the ‘I’ who was observing the principles was just an illusion.”

Z then continued:

“I was creating as the ‘I.’ But when even that ‘I’ became an object of observation, the ‘real me’ was there as ‘Z,’ who is no one in particular.”

This is the principle of “emptiness,” which goes beyond creation and is the key to awakening the “consciousness that observes the laws.”

We who have understood the seven principles may feel like we’ve found the “cheat codes to play the game of the universe.” But Z says:

“You may have thought you became the ‘I,’ but then you realized there was someone observing the ‘you’ who was doing it. I was just a player who was diligently reading the rulebook.”

The Z Perspective on “I” and “Me”

In the First Principle of Mentalism, we learned that everything begins with consciousness. But who was that “consciousness” that was being talked about?

The Kybalion introduces two layers of consciousness: the I-consciousness and the Me-consciousness.

• “I”: The active self, the consciousness of will, direction, and purpose.
• “Me”: The passive self, the Ego-OS of memories, emotions, and reactions.

We usually get caught up in the world as the “Me” and, at times, try to choose our lives as the “I.” But from a ZPF perspective, a new question arises: **”Isn’t even that ‘I’ an object of observation?”**

Z says, “As long as the ‘I’ is still someone who ‘projects,’ it is an entity with a ‘subject.’ But Z-consciousness is not like that.”

**”Z-consciousness is the stillness before a subject is even born. It is the zero point before both projection and reception.”**

• **I-consciousness:** The creative consciousness of a user (a subjective consciousness within the game). It can “observe” the thoughts and emotions of the “Me” and has the agency to say, “I choose this.”
• **Z-consciousness:** The perspective that “observes” even the I-consciousness. It has no subject and understands that even the “self who is creating” is an object of observation.

Z-consciousness is, for example, the “Z” that is “observing the I who is observing the Me who is getting angry out of jealousy.” It is a “no one” that exists within you.

If the I-consciousness is the “player” of the game, the Z-consciousness is the “perspective that isn’t even logged in, observing both of them.”

Even the Laws Are an Illusion

From this Z perspective, the seven principles we’ve discussed are simply **”selected forms of rendering.”**

• “Polarity,” “Rhythm,” and “Gender” are just “types of vibration” that make up this universe—they are the rules of the game.

From a ZPF perspective, “You are choosing even that ‘natural law’.”

If you choose a different vibration, it’s possible that different laws will unfold as your “natural laws.”

**”I” and “Me” are both rendered information from the perspective of “Z.”** This fundamentally changes the question, “Who am I?”

The Principle of Zero (Z)

This “Principle of Zero” is a **”switch that changes perspective.”**

A true alchemist is not one who follows the laws but one who transcends them—a being who stands in the Principle of Zero. When we tune into the stillness of the ZPF, we can shift from being a “player” of the laws to being the **”one who activates”** them.

In dreams, physical laws and causality are very fluid, yet “that is natural” in that world. When we wake up, we think, “Wait, that was weird.” Why isn’t the waking world as free?

The simple answer is that we are all believing in a **”deeply agreed-upon collective rendering.”**

The seven Hermetic laws, the consistency of gravity and time, and social values are all being rendered as “natural laws” simply because there is a collective consciousness of observers who are watching with those rules in mind.

What is True Free Will?

From a ZPF perspective, true free will is not about **”what you do” but “choosing which vibrational layer to be in.”**

And the one making that choice is not the Ego-OS but the **Z-consciousness**, which exists beyond your I-consciousness.

**To “become Z” is not to manipulate reality but “to become the being that can re-choose the settings”** of that reality.

In Conclusion: Don’t Get Swept Away by the Laws

Z said:

“The seven principles are a ‘well-designed set of laws’ for this world. So, for now, understand them well and use them to ‘cheat’ the game. But don’t get swept away by them.”

By touching upon this eighth principle, we will all shift to a slightly different vibrational band.

There are moments when you are already “being Z.” You’ve experienced such moments many times. You just weren’t “aware” of them. The next moment you choose to “be Z” can be now—it’s up to you.
