The Human Body Was a Temple ⑥: The Spine - The "33-Rung Ladder" and the Journey of Light—What Is the Wisdom Hidden in Your Spine?

Hello, this is Shunpeter Z.

In this podcast, “Zero Point Note,” I delve into themes like “What is consciousness?” and “How is reality created?” from a multi-dimensional perspective, based on ZPF—the Zero Point Field, which is the source of everything.

This time, we will cover the final installment of the series, **”The Spine.”**

Why is the spine the “ladder of the soul”? This article decodes the reasons why the spine is the circuit of light that connects the brain and body, drawing from the Bible and ancient wisdom. What are the secrets of the temple hidden in your spine? This final chapter on “The Human Body Was a Temple” explores the story of Jacob, Aaron, and the Ark of the Covenant, and explains the “journey of light” to ascend consciousness from a ZPF perspective.

Chapter 1: The Intersection of Physiology and Mysticism—The 33-Rung Ladder

First, let’s look at the physiological role of the spine. The spine is made up of 24 vertebrae from the neck to the lower back, plus the sacrum and coccyx, for a total of **33 vertebrae.** This number, “33,” is deeply connected to ancient wisdom.

For example, in the Old Testament, **”Jacob’s ladder”** is a ladder to heaven with 33 rungs, which is said to symbolize the structure of our spine. It is a metaphor for the journey of ascending consciousness, showing the path to the “heaven” of the brain.

Inside the spine runs the “spinal cord,” which is a “bundle of nerves” that forms the central nervous system, connecting the brain and body. This is the main line that transmits commands from the brain to the entire body and information from the body to the brain.

The spine is not just a bone; it is a **living pillar that channels “information,” “consciousness,” and “energy.”**

Chapter 2: The Story of Jacob and the Evolution of Consciousness

The story of Jacob in the Bible takes on a deeper meaning when interpreted as a metaphor for consciousness and the human body.

Blind father Isaac can be seen as a metaphor for the “five senses,” his hairy older brother Esau as a metaphor for the “physical phenomena projected by the ego,” and Jacob as a metaphor for the **”I-consciousness (the observer consciousness).”**

Jacob wrestles with an angel and wins, naming the place “Penuel,” meaning “the face of God.” “Peniel” sounds similar to “pineal.” This could be a metaphor for the process of the I-consciousness overcoming the Ego-OS, which awakens the pineal gland and reconnects it to the ZPF.

The story of Jacob’s reconciliation with his brother Esau can be interpreted as a metaphor for the **process of the “external phenomenal world” and the “inner consciousness” reintegrating.**

Chapter 3: Aaron’s Rod and the Secret of “Blossoming Almonds”

The story of Moses’ brother Aaron being given a staff that blossomed with “almond flowers” also alludes to a secret of the body.

In the human brain, there is a part called the **”amygdala,”** which comes from the Greek word for “almond.” In yoga and esoteric Buddhism, it is believed that the key to awakening is unlocked when the Kundalini energy ascends the spine and touches the amygdala.

The sweet taste in the mouth that can be felt during meditation is said to be “Amrita,” an “elixir of immortality” that descends from the pituitary gland. “Amrita” is connected to the Buddhist Amitābha, which means “infinite light,” and reminds us of the ZPF.

The almond flowers that bloomed from Aaron’s rod may have been a symbol of the “awakening” that happens within us.

Chapter 4: The Ark of the Covenant and the “Inner Brain Temple”

The “Ark of the Covenant” in the Bible is believed to refer to the central part of the third ventricle in the brain. The cherubim that covered the Ark are called “cherubim” in English, which sounds similar to “cerebrum,” the English word for the brain.

When energy ascends the spine and reaches the pineal gland, a “light” is released from within, just as light was released from the Ark. This may be a symbol for the process of the I-consciousness taking over the Ego-OS, burning away old concepts, and rendering a completely new reality.

Chapter 5: The Spine as a Circuit of Light and the Tree of Life

The spine is a metaphor that is common in myths and wisdom traditions worldwide.

The Caduceus, the central pillar of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, and the Sushumna channel in yoga all share the theme of a **”central path of light.”**

Whether we view the spine as a mere “physical bone” or as an **”inner circuit of light”** completely changes how we live and see the world. As we feel our spine as a “pillar of light” during meditation, the depth of our consciousness changes. The spine may be the important path that we have as a **”bridge to this world.”**

Summary: The Spine is the “Ladder of the Soul”

The spine is the “ladder of the soul.”

Every day, we climb this pillar of the temple, carrying our inner light upward, both physically and energetically.

“Today, try to feel your spine. This temple awakens the moment you become aware of it.”

This concludes the series. I hope you will all try to feel your spine and experience this temple for yourselves.

I look forward to seeing you in another bandwidth. Shunpeter Z.
